Gaming monitors and TVs have their own advantages and disadvantages when it comes to image quality and specs for gaming.

Gaming monitors tend to have a higher pixel density, which can result in sharper images and more details in games. They also usually have faster refresh rates, which can reduce motion blur and input lag, making for a smoother gaming experience. Additionally, they tend to be smaller in size, which is great for gamers who prefer a more immersive experience.
On the other hand, gaming TVs tend to have an edge over gaming monitors in terms of specs, including higher resolution, image quality, and size. They can also provide a more comfortable gaming experience for groups of people, as they are larger and can be viewed from a greater distance.
TVs tend to have an advantage in areas such as brightness and contrast. They are often able to achieve a higher level of brightness, making them better for HDR performance.
When it comes to deciding which is better for gamers, it ultimately comes down to personal preference and specific gaming needs. If image quality and enjoying your self with your friends is a priority, a TV may be the better choice. However, if you are a serious gamer looking for a smoother gaming experience and faster response, a gaming monitor may be the way to go. Personally I prefer a gaming monitor because being close the monitor helps my reaction time which overall makes my performance much better.
In conclusion, there are pros and cons to both gaming monitors and TVs. It is important to consider the specific needs and preferences of the gamer before making a decision.
