As a video game enthusiast, I have played numerous video game remakes, and I must say that some of them have been absolutely phenomenal. They have breathed new life into classic titles, added modern gameplay mechanics, and updated graphics. Here are 10 of the best video game remakes of all time:
10. Resident Evil 2 (2019)

The Resident Evil 2 remake is one of the best games in the franchise. It features updated graphics, new gameplay mechanics, and improved storyline. The game still has the survival horror aspect of the original game, and is one my personal favourite. Resident Evil 2 is a must-play for fans of the genre.
9. Shadow of the Colossus (2018)
Shadow of the Colossus was an instant hit when it was first released, and when it was announced there'd be a remake the gaming world was skeptical it could live up to the same standards. However the remake did not disappoint. The graphics were updated, the controls were improved, and the game's performance was better than ever. Overall a great storyline.
8. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (2017)

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a perfect example of how a classic game can be remade for a modern audience. The game features updated graphics, improved controls, and new levels. The game has been a huge hit with both old and new fans.
7. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (2011)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a legendary remake of what was already a great game. The game's graphics got way better, and its mechanics the same. The Legend of Zelda Orcina opened my eyes to a whole new genre of gaming. My suggestion is if you still have a 3Ds hanging around somewhere this is a must buy.
6. Metroid: Zero Mission (2004)
Metroid: Zero Mission is an impressive remake of the already impressive Metroid game. This game is legendary and began a new era of gaming. One day I hope for another remodel of this legendary game, for now we'll have to do with the 2004 version.
5. Final Fantasy VII (2020)

Final Fantasy VII is a beloved classic, and the remake did not disappoint. All gamers love Final Fantasy and to see it with new game features updated graphics, new gameplay mechanics, and an updated storyline is a great sight. I recommend this game to any gamer, it will not disappoint.
4. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (2019)
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is one of those cases where a classic game was successfully updated for a modern audience. The game features updated graphics, new levels, and improved controls. If you liked the previous version you will fall in love with the new, Must Buy (only if you tried the previous version).
3. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX (2017)
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is a compilation of several games in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Prior to the release of the 2017 version Kingdom Hearts was becoming irrelevant then on March 9, 2017 the gaming world was caught by surprise and the best version yet of Kingdom Hearts was released.
2. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver (2009)
Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are remakes of the original Pokemon Gold and Silver games. I'm sure most of you have played it before when you were younger but if never got a chance to play it your missing out. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver is one of the most legendary remakes.
1. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (2011)

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was the beginning of our current era. With relatively modern graphics and game features Halo is Combat Evolved is a must play. When I was playing it recently I noticed a resemblance to current games and I truly think this Halo game was the start of the current console gaming era.
