The last decade of gaming has seen a tremendous amount of innovation and growth in the industry. From the rise of mobile gaming and the popularization of streaming platforms, to the development of virtual and augmented reality technologies, it's been an exciting time to be a gamer. With so many Influential games released in the past ten years, it's hard to narrow it down to just a few. However, here are some of the most influential video games of the last decade, in no particular order:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017):
The Legend of Zelda is an open-world action-adventure game, set in the world of Hyrule, received widespread acclaim for its innovative gameplay, stunning graphics, and immersive world-building. Players control Link, who must defeat the evil Calamity Ganon and save the kingdom of Hyrule.

2. Fortnite (2017):
This isn't a personal favourite but I think it has to be up there because it opened the world to a whole new style of game. This battle royale game exploded in popularity in the mid-2010s, with millions of players competing to be the last one standing on an ever-shrinking island. Its cartoonish graphics and numerous game modes have made it a hit with players of all ages. It is currently free on all platforms.
3. Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018):
Red Dead takes place in the American Old West, it was praised for its stunning visuals, immersive storytelling, and complex characters. Players control Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang, as they navigate the dangers of the Wild West and try to survive against rival gangs and the law.
4. God of War (2018):
God of War is an action-adventure game, set in the world of Norse mythology, which received widespread praise for its stunning visuals, tight gameplay, and emotionally charged story. Players control Kratos, a Spartan warrior seeking revenge against the gods of Olympus, as he battles his way through a series of challenging enemies and bosses.
5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015):
This open-world action role-playing game, based on the popular book and TV series, was hailed for its immersive world-building, compelling characters, and challenging gameplay. Players control Geralt of Rivia, a witcher (monster hunter) searching for his missing adopted daughter in a world filled with danger and intrigue.
